XENO
Series of 4 glazed earthenware sculptures, 2025.
Exhibition : Galerie Keshavarzian Paris.
Xeno, from the Ancient Greek ξένος, meaning “foreigner” or “guest,” designates that which comes from elsewhere, the other, the unfamiliar.
The XENO series draws inspiration from xenobiology, an emerging scientific discipline that imagines life forms evolving in radically different environments, on the outer edges of the cosmos.
These glazed earthenware sculptures take the shape of ambiguous organisms, suspended between the mineral and the living, the archaic and the speculative. At once strange and familiar, these imaginary creatures question the origins of life and its possible otherness, through space, time, and matter.
