The material trace of a word that doesn't exist.
The sculpture, cast in enamelled porcelain, is a formal transposition
the recording of the artist's voice pronouncing the word "ptyx",
invented by the poet Stéphane Mallarmé for the needs of his
Sonnet
en X (1899).
